Musica Viva! is organized to promote awareness of and apprecation of chamber music specifically, and the arts in general. The 2008-09 season marks the eighth year that Musica Viva! has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians for communities in the New River Valley and throughout Southwest Virginia. We strive to provide five chamber music events per year. Musica Viva! was created in recognition that access to the arts, in their many manifestations, is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community. Blacksburg-based Musica Viva! is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations to it are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. It is governed by a Board of Directors who represent both the business and educational communities of Blacksburg. The current board members are: |
